So General Wesley Clark is not invited to the Democratic National Convention? Steve Clemons, say it ain't so.
Well, who the hell is Senator Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. going to be listening to when he answers the phone at 3am and the Russians have invaded Turkey and Turkey has invaded the Kurds and Iran has invaded Iraq and North Korea says fuck it and Israel says Palestine must die and Palestine says Israel must die and Central Africa starts to machete Southern Africa and China decides it is really sick and tired of Tibet and Australia, and Mexico decides it is going to close its border, bitches?
Look, Senator Obama, I really don't give a shit if you are more morally Christian than Saint Peter, The Blessed Mother and the Pope. That is not what the Presidency is about. I want a Democratic who is brave enough to be liberal, says he/she is a liberal, runs as a liberal, uses the bully-pulpit while in the Oval Office to explain to America why it needs to be liberal, too.
The Democratic Party needs new political strategists.
I don't want to hear that you are just another Democrat who is afraid to take on the Republicans when it comes to military and national security issues. Whenever the Democrats are in charge, America wins its wars. Republicans lose them and/or fuck them up really badly.
Sometimes, you have to fight for change. And if you are afraid to stand next to Wesley Clark, well, that tells me a lot more about you and your strategists than some lame story about how you regret hitting the bong when you were a kid.
Get off you knees before the evangelicals, they are not going to vote for you in November. And if I don't start hearing you talk to me, well, don't take my liberal vote for granted.
Yeah, I was thinking Clark would be a valid candidate for VP if not the one. What's up with this? At the very least an appearance and statement of support would be seen as a good thing.
Much remains to be seen in coming weeks, methinks.
