Based on the military situation on the ground in Afghanistan and General McCrystal's attitude toward his civilian leaders... President Obama should fire the General immediately.
It is not even a disagreement over policy. It is an attitude of a General in the field towards a Democratic Party President who is Commander-in-Chief that is reflected and refracted through the media and the right wing that needs to be slapped down.

Absolutely correct, IMHO, Jim. Most people think of MacArthur, but McClellan is the proper example.
Given everything he asked for, but still not getting the job done. Blaming others for problems, while promoting his own career.
