Sorry Charlie! Birthday Wishes to Charles Dickens... And A Short Exchange With A 21st Century Reader

Charles Dickens is two hundred years old and looks great! Me and my mother love Charles Dickens. We shared many of his books over the years.

Here is a short exchange in the kitchen at my office between me and an Intern (a journalism major).

Me: It is the 200th birtday of Charles Dickens. What is your favorite Dickens story?

20-year old Intern: Those books are too long for me and about poor people.

Me: You read Harry Potter, they are long and wasn't he an orphan?

20-year old Intern: Harry Potter was left a fortune at Gringotts Bank... and he was magic.
